Full Adventure and Nature in the Amazon – Yanayacu River 4D/3N

Itenerary

Day 1

• Pick up from the airport. Mention your arrival date in Iquitos for pick up at the airport.
• We will navigate the Itaya River in our private boat to see the floating houses that are around Iquitos until arriving about 20 minutes towards the Amazon River where you will know the great change in water color (Between the Itaya and Amazonas Rivers and the Nanay and Amazonas Rivers , two tributaries).
• Observation of pink and gray dolphins.
• We will navigate the Itaya River until we reach the Amazon River for an average of 1 hour and 30 minutes and then we will navigate for an average of 20 more minutes until we reach the famous Yanayacu River called the jungle of mirrors where our Hostel is located, surrounded by the wild forest, flora and fauna.Our lodge is built with rustic materials and all have private bathrooms.
• Arrival at the lodge and then a toast for your arrival, enjoying our typical soft drinks made and prepared based on typical fruits of our region, Camú Camú juice, cocona juice or lemonade.
• Typical Lunch Time. (Self-service).
• Navigation along the Amazon River where we will visit the beach and observe the pink and gray dolphins and swim in the same river mentioned. (Coordinate with the guide).
• Watch the sunset in the jungle.
• Return to the lodge.
• Dinner Time.
• Night Excursion in search of amphibians, reptiles, nocturnal insects and batracians.

Day 2

• We get up very early for bird sightings.
• Depending on the weather we will visit the Yaguas Cochas lagoon.
• Search for animals in their natural habitat such as Monkeys, Sloths, Iguanas and other species of animals.
• Return to the lodge.
• Typical Lunch Time. (Self-service).
• Walk through the jungle where you will learn about medicinal plants such as cat's claw, grade blood, etc.
• Return at 18:00 to the Yanayacu River called the jungle of mirrors where we will see some species of birds in their natural habitat.
• Dinner Time.
• Night excursion to search for alligators and night fishing with harpoons or arrows to search for night monkeys and night birds.

Day 3

• We also get up very early at 5:00 am or 6:00 am to observe the dawn of the jungle and listen to the howler monkeys in their natural habitat.
• Visit the Falcón lagoon to look for iguanas and do sport fishing for piranhas and other species and see the largest plant in the world, the Victoria Regia (water lily or lily).
• Return to the lodge.
• Typical lunch time. (Self-service).
• Observation of the largest plants in the world Victoria Regia and carrying out a canoeing program on a lake called Yagua Cocha.
• Dinner at the lodge.
• Time for Stories, Myths and Legends of our Peruvian jungle.

Day 4

• Visit the Yanayacu River called the jungle of mirrors where we can observe some species of prehistoric birds in their natural habitat such as the giancho.
• Breakfast time.
• Visit the giant trees such as: WIMBA, CEIBA, CAPINURI, ETC.
• Lunch at the lodge.
• Return to the City of Iquitos.
• Return and transfer to the airport or hotel.

Recommendation to bring to the jungle:

• Personal head flash ligth.
• Sunscreen.
• Mosquito repellent.
• Long sleeve shirt except black because black attracts mosquitoes.
• Long pants except black because it also attracts mosquitoes.
• Sun hat.
